New for 2008: "UHLe" - an Ultimate Hat League aka Uhle's Hat League
What is UHLe?
Co-ed, social ultimate frisbee league in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park that emphasizes teaching the game, meeting new people, and having some fun on Monday evenings!
Who is Uhle?
Jeff Uhlenberg, aka Uhle, has been playing in PADA leagues for many years. Along with his wife, April, he is known far & wide for his spirit, his generosity, his love of the game & a red wagon full of edible delights.
UHLe is a LEARNING LEAGUE for beginners and intermediate-level players. NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED just bring your enthusiasm, humor, wit, and interest in chasing plastic. It's a great way to learn ultimate, improve your skills, and meet new people. Oh, and it's a hat league, which means teams are formed relatively randomly---you can sign up solo or as part of a "baggage" group of up to 4 players.
What is Ultimate frisbee & why would I want to play it? That's a good question!

Price: $30/person. Some discounts available--see registration. All PADA players must pay $10 annual membership fee, which covers insurance & allows you to play in all 2008 PADA leagues (spring, summer, fall, & winter)
When: Monday nights, 6 PM until dark, June through early August. Games start on Monday, June 9th.
Where: World famous Edgely fields & clubhouse in Philly's Fairmount Park
I am an experienced player & want to captain or play in this league!
Awesome. Experienced players can captain teams and pass on their knowledge and love of the game. If you're also playing in PADA's "classic" summer league, we'll even comp your $30 fee for this league. Register for the league, but do not pay...then email the league coordinator, Knappy. Never captained before? No problem. Let us know you're interested and we'll pair you with a "veteran captain" to mentor you. However, just because you're an experienced player, that does not mean you have to captain in UHLe. Since there will be no scheduling conflict with PADA's "classic" summer league, feel free to play in both leagues.....just keep in mind that this league emphasizes teaching the game. DISCLAIMER: Captain spots are limited, so we may choose captains from the pool of candidates. Only captains chosen will get complimentary league fee.
