Hat Tournament on July 5th

Please come out to play some Ultimate and donate to a good cause! 

When: Sunday, July 5th from 9am till 4pm

Where: PADA's Edgely fields

Why: To benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the Team In Training program.  LLS's goal is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.  Money raised goes to developing new treatments and supporting families.  In fact, research funded by the Society has led or contributed to advances such as chemotherapy, bone marrow and stem cell transplantation and new, targeted oral therapies such as Gleevec®.

Ultimate Details:
    --Cost: $20 suggested donation to LLS
    --Registration will start at 9am, games start around 10 am
    --Organizers will supply water and soft pretzels

What to bring:
    --Money for a donation
    --Cleats
    --A light and a dark
    --Sunscreen
    --Water
    --Some friends

I'll spam my UHLe captains & ask them to spread the word. Make sure you hit padachat at least twice (the last hat tournament was not well attended, I think, partially due to not getting the word out early & often enough.)

If you're newer to PADA and aren't sure about what PADA Chat is...

PADA Chat is a Google Group that anyone can sign up for here:

You can send emails out about anything from roommates need to hat tourneys, as long as you don't abuse it.

It's definitely a subset of the overall PADA populace, but those that are on there skew towards the club/active in PADA demographic.

The more people we have on there, the more valuable it is, so pass the word!

Great job on the tournament today!! I know Team 3 had a lot of fun playing together. Wish we could have won the box of bananas, but sigh - we couldn't pull it off in the end. Thanks to Katie, Allison and whoever else I'm not naming due to lack of ignorance. Maybe someone else can help by adding the names of other people who contributed to making today a success? Thanks again!

Thanks so much for coming (and to everyone else, for that matter)!  With your help, I raised $575 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!  Plus, I had a blast meeting new people and playing 2.5 games of Ultimate (with few to zero subs).  You guys were great!
