The Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance was founded in 1985 to facilitate area Ultimate Clubs, Free-style and Disc Golf, and to introduce a summer co-ed Ultimate league. While PADA continues to support all things disc - Philadelphia still boasts the second oldest disc golf course in the county - there is no doubt that the success of our summer leagues has channeled much of our energy into the sport of Ultimate.

In 2005, we celebrated our 20th anniversary with a renewed focus on the future of Ultimate in the region. We are putting more of our resources into PHUEL, the spectacularly successful Juniors program founded as an independent organization by Mark Rosser and run by Mark, Rob Olsen, the players, and a coaching staff that include many PADA vets and PHUEL alums. We continue to support womens and co-ed Ultimate leagues with a womens recruitment drive, womens skills clinics and leagues. We are also exploring ways of supporting our many area club teams including those teams in pursuit of glory on the national and international scene as well as those that simply yearn for the contented after-glo of a funnel.
